In this field, the equipment often rotates quickly, up to 40000rpm sometimes. Particularly, in the steam turbine, the coupling shall not only have excellent balance, but also transmit large torque, and have complicated lubrication conditions. With special design, the drum teeth part is carburized and ground and lubricated with thin oil jet, which was proved to be very successful through years of practices.
